The studio is in shambles, and I'm talking real, horrible mess here.
I have doll limbs scattered all over the place, to the point where Yulka gets frusrated.
Patterns are piled up on the tables...In the midst of all the usual work, I thought I'd fine tune my patterns, and - (are you sitted?) COLOR CODE the new patterns, so it's easier to work.
Ahhhh, what was I thinking.
New fabrics, tools, doll hair, yarn, batting and the dreaded (And much coveted) office supplies are partly in boxes, and mostly on every available surface. And dolls. Dolls stare at me with horror in their eyes.
Gossiping behind my back ?
But what do I do?
Do I :
- try to tidy up?
- Do I come up with a brilliant organizational scheme?
- Do I wake up early in the morning and battle the mess and win ?
Or, Instead, do I :
- wake up early in the morning, (too early, if you ask me,) and decide to make a community board on Pinterest, for fellow doll makers?
And do I stop at that, do you think, or do I :
- spam my facebook pages and chase poor, innoent, busy doll makers demanding that they share my enthusiastic whim?
Yes. I knew I'm an open book to y'all.
I am ashamed to say it, but that's exactly what I do.
I make boards on Pinterest.
I nag inncent Doll Makers.
I spend precious time playing with our new kitten, (don't ask.) and instead of completing the poor dolls, I play around and sculpt doll faces and post pics on Facebook and get headaches from being so scattered minded, and then when I get back into the studio, it's already time to get the kiddos back home, and become a responible adult.
Enough about me.
Here's a glimpse of the above mentioned Pinterest board, for your guilty pleasure.
I'm proud to say I saw quite a few Doll Makers took self portraits as a result, and I am sure they'll all pin them there, real soon. (Or else..)
Oh and I'm also working on a huge project - but it is a secret for now. I don't want to spoil the surprise. Suffice to say I spend most nights working on it, and I do believe it is almost done.
